Q: Where is convention?

A: The Welcome Reception, Moderated Brainstorm Sessions, and Awards Banquet will take place at Embassy Suites in Downtown Fort Worth on the 5th and 7th floors. The Night Out will be at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar one block from the hotel.

Q: Where do I park/how much does it cost?

A: Embassy Suites offers valet parking for $32.00 a day. If you are able to, we recommend Ubering or carpooling to the hotel.

Q: What is a Moderated Brainstorm Session?

A: Instead of the traditional classroom session where a presenter is talking to the group, a Moderated Brainstorm Session is more interactive. There will be no formal presentation, instead you will be able to participate in an open discussion on the given topic. You are free to ask questions, give your opinion, and discuss new ideas as a group. The moderaters assigned to that session are there to help guide the conversation and stay on topic.

Q: What do I wear to convention?

A: At the Welcome Reception come dressed in your company apparel, ex: a t-shirt or polo with your company logo.

For the family photo Friday morning, we request that you wear a black shirt.

For the Moderated Brainstorm Sessions, wear casual or business casual attire.

The Awards Banquet has a semi-formal dress code this year. Semi-formal is similar to business casual and slightly more formal than cocktail attire, ex: button down shirt, dress pants, tie and jacket for men, and a cocktail, midi or maxi dress for women.

Q: What do I do at the end of each day?

A: Most of the group breaks off to go to dinner, bars, or a fun late night spot. If this is your first convention, we encourage you to ask around and go out with a group of Sundekers. These late nights are where some of the best convention memories are made!
